In Costa Rica: Breast cancer in 2022 was reported as the type of cancer with the highest mortality rate. In a comparison by sex, breast cancer ranked first with a mortality rate of 16.0%. Prostate cancer was the second cancer with the highest mortality rate (15.8%).
