Podiatry is the science of health that has as object of study the diseases and alterations that affect the feet.

It's the science that includes the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of foot diseases and deformities, through therapeutic techniques specific to its discipline. Feet represent the means by which we manage to mobilize and wander, require basic and preventive care, and in some cases special podiatric treatments.
